Welcome San Rafael California!

Today arrived 22 people from San Rafael, California - The Rosa Smile Team.  The Rosa Smile Team is an organization whose purpose is to "serve at-risk and disadvantaged children primarily living in orphanages. "

Emily Buescher is currently volunteering at the Aldea Orphanage - impacting the lives of many orphans both physically and spiritually.  With Villa Milagro's involvement in the Aldea Orphanage, we were able to inform this organization about Villa Milagro.  We are pleased to have them stay at Villa Milagro.  They plan to be at the Aldea during their days and resting/eating at Villa Milagro.   They will be with VM for 5 nights.

Justin and I can not wait to get to know this new group and show them our love for Peru!

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.  James 1:27.

"Let the little children come to me, and do not  hinder them, for the kingdom of God, belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16 and Mark 10:14

The Power of Prayer

Justin was in the local clinic for a day due to a chronic ear infection.  This infection caused him to be very, very sick.  After 1 day at home and not getting better, I called Dr. Aldo to see what we should do.  Dr. Aldo is a Doctor here in Peru whom has volunteered many times at Villa Milagro's medical clinics.  He and a partner have a clinic called Villa Salud in Cajamarca.  They took very good care of Justin and he is on the verge to recovery.  We are fortunate to have wonderful contacts like Dr. Aldo here.
Thank you all for your powerful prayers!

June 24th - Arrival of 10 New GS Volunteers

On June 24th arrived 10 new GS volunteers.  6 volunteers from the last group stayed.  This group held medical and VBS at many locations.  They also had some time to see the Llacanora water falls, distributed new shoes to the children at the Aldea Orphanage, took pictures of the continental divide, toured the center of Cajamarca at night, and distributed more food to families.  They also completed the girls' bunk beds.  We had a blast!  Thank you Geyer Springs for yet another great year!
